Cuttack: A total of 5,72,699 students will appear the annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Matric examination at 2,830 examination centres across the State this year. The examination will be conducted between February 22 and March 8.
To avoid question paper leakage, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has introduced a 17-point protocol.
As per the decision of the BSE, question papers will reach at examination centres on the examination day itself. The question papers will be opened jointly in the presence of an OAS and OES officers.
At least 304 Nodal centres have been opened to keep the question papers while at least 693 dispatch teams have been formed to take the question papers to the centres.
Every examination will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The students will be allotted extra 15 minutes for Mathematics and hence it will end at 12.45 pm.
Notably, the BSE had cancelled the OTET examinations scheduled on January 16 after question papers got leaked on social media. As many as 1.12 lakh candidates applied to sit in the examination across Odisha.
