48 grams brown sugar seized, two arrested in Rourkela

Rourkela, Oct 10: Rourkela Plant site police has recovered 48 grams of brown sugar from two peddlers near the powerhouse ring road on Sunday. The accused identified as Dipak Das of Pokhariput,Bhubaneswar and Tarik Anwar of Rourkela have been arrested in this connection. According to police, a surprise raid was conducted at the powerhouse ring road of the steel city in the evening, after reliable input from the sources. During the raid and subsequent search operation, police recovered 48 grams of brown sugar from Dipak and Tarik. The contraband drug was seized and the peddlers were arrested. Interrogation is underway to nab the other accused, said police.
