47,998 beneficiaries rehabilitated with land under Vasundhara

Bhubaneswar, Sept 3: As many as 47,998 landless families have been rehabilitated with homestead land under Vasundhara scheme ,said Revenue Minister Sudam Marndi on Friday. Responding to a question of Congress MLA,Suresh Kumar Routray in Odisha Assembly,Marndi said that the government had finalized to provide land to almost 1,06,898 beneficiaries following the socio-economic survey conducted in 2018. Out of it,49,200 families were proved ineligible from the list. Accordingly, as many as 57,698 beneficiaries were finally listed out to provide liveable land. As many as 47,998 families have got habitable lands as on July 2021. However,the rest 9,700 beneficiaries would be provided with lands for their homes soon,said Marndi.
