45 BMW cars charred after fire breaks out at BMW godown in Navi Mumbai

Mumbai, Dec 8: As many as 45 BMW cars were burnt to ashes after a fire broke out inside a BMW car godown in Turbhe area of Navi Mumbai on Tuesday. According to sources, after the fire was reported at around 5:30 am, a team of 10 fire engines immediately reached the spot and eventually managed to stop the fire at around 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, 45 expensive BMW cars that were parked in the parking lot were gutted. The reason for the fire has not been known yet, however, the owner of the establishment has clarified that there was no case of injury or casualty. "The fire started on Tuesday morning but the cause of the fire is not yet known. At present the police are investigating the matter. The spot where the fire broke out in the MIDC complex had a car showroom as well as a workshop and godown. This is the reason why so many cars were present together and so much damage was done," said fire brigade officer RB Patil.
