42 returnees of Tablighi Jamaat register after appeal by Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar, April 7: As many as 42 more persons from Odisha returning from Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi have come forward to co-operate the state government after the appeal of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, informed state government’s coronavirus (Covid-19) spokesperson Subroto Bagchi today. Bagchi said that necessary steps will be taken to conduct medical examination of those persons. Earlier as many as 28 persons returning from the religious congregation were identified by the state government. Nizamuddin area in Delhi has emerged as the biggest Covid-19 hotspot in the country after six people who attended the religious congregation died of the deadly virus and many others who were present there tested positive.
