41 high school students test positive for Covid-19 in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda, Jan 14: Few schools in Jharsuguda are now bringing panic for students and guardians in the district. As many as 22 high school students tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. Since reopening of the high schools on January 8, total 41 students have .tested positive for the deadly virus. Inspite of all precautions and standard operation procedure, the positive cases in some recently opened high schools have been a matter of concern in the locality. Earlier, as many as 19 high school students from Laikera block had tested positive. As per the data of district education officer, Kalpana Panda, ‘eight students from Hemsagar High School, Pakelkhol, nine students from job Oriented High School, Sahaspur and two from Saletrika High school had tested positive. Affected students have been advised for home isolation and the premises concerned have been well Sanitised’. Other students are undergoing thermal screening and swap test, she adds.
