4-member family from Odisha murdered in Chhatisgarh

Balangir, Sep 30: In a bone-chilling incident, four members of an Odia family were brutally killed at a farm in Akeli village under the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The deceased have been identified as Bholanath Yadav, his wife Neila Yadav, 12-year-old son Pramod and 7-year-old daughter Mukta of Dedhagan village of Sindhekela police limits in Bangomunda block of Balangir district. According to reports, the farm is owned by one Punaram Tandon while the victims had been staying there for the last 12 years working as labourers. It has been suspected that they might have been killed over a property dispute and someone known to the deceased was involved in the incident. However, the exact reason of the murder is yet to be ascertained. Chhatisgarh police have recovered the weapon of offence from the crime spot and started an investigation into the incident.
