4 kilograms stolen silver recovered,one arrested in Ganjam

Ganjam, Oct 29: Patapur police has arrested a looter on the charges of snatching silver from a trader at Pratapgiri village in Ganjam on Friday. Besides, four kilograms of silver has been recovered from the looter. The accused has been identified as D Srinibasha, a native of Kalasandhapur. Sources said, a jeweller named Murali Sahu of Radhadeipur village was selling silver ornaments in Pratapgiri village on October 19.Meanwhile, D Srinibasha snatched the ornaments from Murali in day light, from the village street. Subsequently, Murali had lodged a complaint with Patapur police in this connection. Acting on it, a police team verified the CCTV footage and nabbed D Srinibasha in the evening.
