Kalahandi, march 17: The Kalahandi police arrested four people in two separate incidents for allegedly being Maoist sympathisers and providing supplies to Maoists.
The accused have been identified as Prabin Kumar Rout, Pratidan Rout, Shaktisamanta Dalabehera and Khageswar Gouda.
According to sources, Prabin, Pratidan and Shaktisamanta were arrested by the police from the Lanjigarh road area of Kalahandi District, under Narla police limits last week after they were found providing supplies to the Maoists.
The Narla police had also recovered two walkie-talkies, a battery, chargers, three cell phones and other Maoist supplies from the accused.
Subsequently, the trio was forwarded to court for the hearing.
In another incident, the Narla police arrested Khageswar Gouda who is also a Maoist sympathiser.
Gouda was found with stocks of Maoist supplies including nine live detonators, three Maoist posters, and Maoist literature that were seized by the police.
Gouda was subsequently arrested and was also forwarded to court for the hearing.
