3788 dengue cases detected in Odisha so far, highest in Khordha: Public Health Director

Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: As many as 3788 dengue patients have been identified in the state, informed Public Health Director, Dr. Niranjan Mishra. According to the report, 3788 cases were detected from 27, 759 samples. The maximum number of cases have been identified in Khordha, said Mishra. Likewise, 359 cases have been detected in Koraput, while 321 cases in Raygada and 232 cases have been identified in Malkangiri. “So far, no one has officially died of dengue in the state. Last year, 3,895 outbreaks were detected from 15,838 samples this time. While the positivity rate has decreased compared to last year, daily infections have also decreased. Dengue increased slightly during monsoon and post-monsoon, but is now decreasing”, he further said.
