<strong>3 forest officials suspended in connection with death of tuskers in Boudh</strong>

Boudh, May 26: Divisional Forest Officer, Boudh has suspended three forest officials in connection with death of two tuskers on Thursday. The officials have been identified as Sushil Hota, the Forester of elephants movement, Jyotiranjan Barik, forest guard of Jamakhol forest beat and Sharat Chandra Nayak, the forestor of Beredabari forest range. The three forest officials have been put under suspension on the charges of utter negligence in tracking the elephants’ movement and their safety. Worth mentioning carcasses of elephants were recovered from the Baghiapada Session Bankamundi Reserve Compartment-8 forest in Boudh district on Wednesday. During investigation, it was revealed that they were poached for the ivories.
