282 elephants died in Odisha in 3 years

Bhubaneswar, Sep 7: As many as 282 elephants have died in Odisha in the last 3 years, informed Forest and Environment Minister Bikram keshari Arukh on Tuesday. Replying to a question, the Minister told the Assembly that 93 elephants died in 2018-19, 82 in 2019-20, and 77 in 2020-21. At least 30 more elephants have died this year. This apart, 17 leopards have died in the state, said the Minister.
