260 ‘Snow leopard’ jawans achieve Home Minister’s Special Operation Award

New Delhi, Oct 31: As many as 260 Jawans of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) who powered thumping victory through the operation ‘Snow Leopard’ around Eastern Ladakh have been awarded with Home Minister's Special Operation Award on Sunday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered the virtuous Jawans with Home Minister’s Special Operation Award, the most prestigious gallantry award on the occasion of the National Unity Day. ITBP which has been providing guard and vigil on over 3488 kilometre vulnerable border between India and China, had achieved historical victory over the enemies through a number of special operations. Especially, the operation ‘Snow Leopard’ was able to fight the furious enemies on the icy- heights, above and over 18,800 feet in the Himalayan Range.
