Bhubaneswar, Mar 26: A total of 234 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the health department said on Friday. This was the highest rise in the number of cases in a day in Odisha in the last two months raising concern regarding the return of Corona wave in the state. Out of the 234 fresh cases, 139 were quarantine cases and 95 local contacts. While highest 33 cases were reported from Nuapada district, Khordha reported 32 cases and Cuttack 29. The total positive cases in the state reached 3,39,694 in the state with detection of the fresh cases. Odisha has now 1,313 active cases and 3,36,409 persons have recovered from the disease so far.
