20 grams brown sugar seized in Bhubaneswar, woman detained

Bhubaneswar: Excise officials arrested a woman drug dealer in Bari area under Khandagiri police station here on Thursday. According to sources, excise officials raided the place and nabbed Samita Mohanty and found 20 grams of the contraband items brown sugar from her possession. Police also seized Rs 5000 cash from her possession. Khandagiri has become the hub of drug business in Bhubaneswar while some women were operating the trade. Excise officials started investigation to trace their network. Notably, officials of Quick Action Team (QAT) and Laxminsagar police station raided the Haladiapadia slum and arrested Ruksana Begus alias Jema and found 36 grams of brown sugar from her possession on February 2.
