Srinagar, Dec 10: Two policemen were killed in a terror attack in Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Sultan and Fayaz Ahmad of J&K police. According to the police, the incident took place in Bandipora’s Gulshan chowk on Friday evening when the terrorists opened fired on the police. Two policemen were severely injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctor declared them dead on arrival. The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the attackers. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah has condemned the attack by penning down a note through Tweeter. "I condemn the militant attack on the police in Bandipore area of North Kashmir earlier today that resulted in the death in the line of duty of J&K police personnel Muhammad Sultan and Fayaz Ahmad. May Allah grant them Jannat & may their families find strength at this time," read the tweet.
