Nabarangpur, Sept 21: Odisha Vigilance apprehended two policeofficers while receiving bribe.
The accused have been identified as Raghunath Hansda, probationary sub-inspector of police (PSI) and Siba Prasad Dalei Assistant Sub-inspector of Papadahandi police station in Nabarangpur district.
The duo was accepting a bribe of Rs.4,000 in the police station from a person to release his seized motorcycle while they were intercepted by the vigilance sleuths.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Hansda, and two locations of ASI Dalei respectively from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance has registered a case U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018.
