<strong>2 MCL employees go missing in Hirakud reservoir</strong>

Sambalpur, Aug 7: In a tragic incident in Sambalpur, two officials of the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd(MCL) have reportedly gone missing in the Hirakud reservoir on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Chitturi and Abhisek Kumar. Sources said Chitturi and Kumar, accompanied by another colleague were taking baths in the Hirakud reservoir near the Jhankarani village in the afternoon.Meanwhile, all of them were carried away by strong current of the water. However one of them came out of water and narrowly escaped whereas two others went missing in the water. On being informed, locals with the help of fire services personnel initiated a search operation to rescue the victims. However, no clues have been found so far, regarding the missing ones said a fire service official.
