2 held for ganja smuggling in Koraput

Koraput, May 30: The Lamtaput police has arrested two persons in connection with smuggling of ganja and handed them over to the Haryana Police for further investigation today. The accused have been identified as Pradip Sharma of Lamtaput area and Jayaram Jalari of Belguda village. According to the police, on May 18 the Haryana Police had seized ganja worth Rs 1.17 crore in its state and arrested 7 persons involved in this racket. During the investigation the accused informed the police about the prime accused who was staying in Koraput and supplying the contraband to different places across the country. Later, Harnaya’s SP contacted Koraput SP and intimated him the matter. Subsequently, police managed to nab two of the prime accused.
