2 cr Covid-19 vaccine doses administered on PM Modi’s birthday

New Delhi, Sept 17: India on Friday set a record by administering 2 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses till around 5 pm. As per the COWIN portal, 2,02,74,365 vaccine doses were administered till 5.19 pm. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with several states had also aimed to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday historic by setting a record number of vaccinations today. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also encouraged beneficiaries to get themselves inoculated today. "Great to see you wished PM @NarendraModi Ji by vaccinating yourself and booking others' slots. Let us all do #VaccineSeva by getting vaccinated and encouraging those around us to do the same!#HappyBirthdayModiji," he tweeted earlier today while responding to a tweet by a person who got the jab today.
