Bargarh, Aug 10: A 1-km long national flag was carried during a Triranga Yatra in Bargarh district of Odisha on Tuesday to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The Vikash Group of Bargarh had organized the historic Tiranga Yatra with an aim to reach the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ message to everyone.

Hundreds of people marched a rally from Lengu Mishra Square to near Ganapati Hotel carrying the 1km and 9 feet long Tiranga flag with patriotic fervour ahead of the 75th year of independence.

Around 1,500 students had joined the march performing cultural programs and singing patriotic songs, braving the incessant rains.

Around 25,000 people had joined the Tiranga rally including intellectuals, doctors, social activists, students, and political leaders of the district.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
