10-year boy clears 10th board exam with 79% in UP

Lucknow, Aug 1: A ten-year-old boy has cleared the Class 10 examination in Uttar Pradesh Board, securing 79 per cent marks. The result was declared on Saturday. The child prodigy, Rashtram Aditya Sri Krishna, secured special permission to appear in the board examination. He has scored 86% in drawing, 84% in social science, 83% in English, 82% in Hindi, 76% in science, and 64% in mathematics. Krishna’s parents had taken special permission from the UP Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) in 2019 after which he was enrolled in Class 9 at the MD Shukla Inter College in Lucknow. HN Upadhyay, the principal of MD Shukla Inter College, said he took admission in class 9 after his parents obtained special permission about two years ago. According to UP Board rules, a student needs to be at least 14 years of age to appear in class 10 board exams. However, exceptions are made only in special cases.
