10 including two from Haryana booked for violating curfew during Rath Yatra

Puri, July 15: Police today booked as many as 10 persons including two tourists from Haryana for violating curfew orders in Puri during Rath Yatra. The violators have been identified as Govind Krisna Das and Atul Krishna from Haryana and Somanath Sahoo, Ranjan Kumar Patra, Subrat Panda, Bhabani Jena, Manoranjan Mishra, Rajdeep Harichandan, Raghunath Saraf and Biswonath Sahoo. Police said that the violators were identified on the basis of video footage during the Rath Yatra. The district administration has imposed curfew in Puri to debar people for participating in the annual festival. Police said that legal action will be taken after gathering sufficient evidence and following all due legal procedures. “We are also trying to identify other violators,” said an official.
