Nabarangpur, Mar 14: In a tragic mishap, a passenger died and five others sustained critical injuries after the bus they were travelling in met with an accident near Somapeta area of Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours of Monday.

According to sources, the private bus ‘Tripathy’ was on the way to Nabarangpur from Bhubaneswar carrying more than 50 passengers when the driver lost control over the wheels and hit a near Somapeta.

Soon the local residents rescued the victims and rushed them to a nearby hospital.

On being informed the local police reached the spot and launched a probe.  The police has also seized the ill-fated bus.
