Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: Like the self-styled Koi Bhai Nahin (KBN) gang that had created panic streaming violent videos on social media platforms, another group has surfaced in Bhubaneswar.
They are making reels and videos brandishing weapons like swords and guns and posting on Facebook and Instagram like social media platforms.
The Hapi gang that attacked a youth with a sword on the Bhubaneswar-Puri NH-316 at Sisupalgarh on Monday night is making such videos to make their presence in the crime world.
Hapi has posted a video on his YouTube channel in which a group of miscreants have cornered him and are threatening him at gunpoint. Beer bottles are kept on the table and Hapi manages to flee from the spot by firing in the air. However, it is to be ascertained whether the gun was real or fake.
Similarly, such a video was uploaded on the Facebook page named Lost Boy Dilip. In the video, a youth is seen attacking four or five men.
"We have started an investigation collecting the videos. Hapi is accused in over eight criminal cases registered at Dhauli and Pahala police stations on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar city, " said the police.
