Bhubaneswar: In what can be termed as the worst outcome of fear, a youth died after he got frightened by presence of a herd of elephants on the road and hit his bike to a tree at Potal village under Keonjhar Sadar Forest Range in Odisha’s Keonjhar district last night.
The deceased was identified as Natabar Dash of Potal village.
According to reports, Natabar was going somewhere by a bike when he came across a herd of nine wild elephants on the road in front of him. To pass the elephants safely, he soon sped up the bike and uncontrollably drove it into a roadside tree. He was injured severely.
Later, some locals saw Natabar lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The death incident has sent a shockwave in the area.
