Youth kills woman before police station in Sambalpur

Sambalpur, Jan 19: A youth has killed a woman before the Kisinda police station in Sambalpur on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Kumari Meher, wife of Debananda Meher. Kumari has been slashed by the accused as she was coming to the police station to file complaint against the accused. Sources said, Kumari had an ill will with her distance brother. As an oral spat broke out today and went violent in the morning, Kumari was coming to the Kisinda police station to lodge an FIR against her brother. {"id":160681,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Aggrieved over it, the youth followed Kumari and killed her near the main gate of the police station. Subsequently, he escaped from the spot. Police has seized the woman’s body from a pool of blood and sent for an autopsy. A case has been initiated in this connection. Operation is underway to nab the accused, said police.
