Youth goes missing after jumping from Mundali barrage in Cuttack

Cuttack, Oct 28: A youth has reportedly gone missing after he jumped into the Mahanadi River from Mundali barrage in Cuttack on Thursday. According to the report, an unidentified person jumped into the Mahanadi from Mundali barrage all of sudden. Subsequently, he was carried away down stream and went missing. Being informed, Cuttack police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. However, no clue regarding the missing one has been found so far, said a fire official. On the other hand, his bike and mobile phone were recovered from the spot. The exact reason behind his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
