Bargarh:Woman killed in daughter’s wedding as she refused to dance

Bargarh, May 13: In an unfortunate incident, a woman was allegedly killed by two of his villagers on the day of her daughter’s wedding in Salepali village of Melchhamunda police limits under Bargarh district. The deceased woman has been identified as Kishori Rajhansh, wife of Jadumani Rajhansh of the same village. The incident took place when Kishori denied the two accused Sumanta and Subodha to dance with baarat or create any disturbance in her daughter’s marriage. Reportedly, the two accused Sumanta and Subodha in an inebriated state forcefully entered in marriage procession and start a clash with the groom side people. When Kishori asked them to refrain from indulging in violence, both the accused attacked Kishori with a sharp weapon and fled from the place. Kishori was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. However, the doctor declared her brought dead. After a complaint was lodged by Kishori’s family, the police have started an investigation into the incident.
