New Delhi, Jan 7: Who will win the Delhi assembly election scheduled on February 8 ? According to the recent ABP-C Voter opinion poll, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will make a clean sweep once again. It is likely to win 59 seats in the 70-member Delhi assembly, while the BJP may suffer a third setback after Maharashtra and Jharkhand, by managing to win only 8 seats. Last time, AAP had won 67 out of total 70 seats, while BJP had to be content with a meagre three seats. Though, AAP is likely to lose 8 seats this time, it may not need to work hard to secure the magic number of 36. As a consolation, Congress is likely to improve its tally from zero last time to three this time. Delhi's sitting chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again emerged as the most preferred chief ministerial candidate, as indicated by the findings of the opinion poll. This time, Delhi is likely to witness a three-cornered contest between AAP, BJP and Congress. AAP is likely to secure 53 per cent of votes, while the BJP is expected to get 26 percent and the Congress only 5 percent of the votes, said the survey. On the other hand, a majority of respondents (67 percent) of the survey have preferred Narendra Modi to continue as the prime minister. Twelve percent voted in favour of Kejriwal and 8 percent Rahul Gandhi. The opinion poll was conducted by the ABP News along with C Voter in the first week of January with 13,076 respondents.
