Shimla, July 25: Nine persons were killed and three others were injured after boulders rolled downhill due to landslide in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Batseri bridge collapsed in the incident and several vehicles were damaged. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) teams rushed to the spot near Badseri village to conduct the rescue operation. Nine of the 12 people who were commuting in a traveller died. While three persons were injured including a local, ITBP said. I spoke to the Kinnaur district administration and inquired about the accident. The administration has started rescue operation at the spot and immediate relief is being provided there. I pray to God for speedy recovery of the injured, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said. An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in an accident in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.
