Barchana, May 30: Having concern over the distress of cows and monkeys around Sri Mahabinayak shrine and Chandi temple in Jajpur, volunteers have provided food to these animals on Saturday. A team of animal friendly social activists including the National General Secretary of Sri Gobardhan Pitha, Puri Matrudutta Mishra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Summa Real Media Pvt. Ltd., Sunil Kumar Das, Sujata Das, Director of Muskan Biscuit, Sunil Mararka fed peas and biscuits to the monkeys. While, the cows near the temple were fed with fodder, grass and water by the team. Notably, the monkeys those normally live on portable food from the devotees and the servitors of the Mahabinayak temple and Chandi temple are in distress duo to the lockdown since long.
