Veteran Odia music director Amarendra Mohanty passes away of Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, May 17: Odia music director and singer Amarendra Mohanty passed away on Monday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. Born on February 9 in 1958 at Kendrapara district, he has composed hundreds of hit songs for popular Odia movies. Of them, 'Puchuki gali' is one of the famous song composed by him. The veteran music director was under treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was on ventilator support for the last three days after his health condition deteriorated. He breathed his last today morning. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over his death.
