Vedanta supports four district schools under Odisha govt’s Mo School Abhiyaan

Jharsuguda, April 27: Vedanta, India’s largest producer of aluminum and value-added products, supports four schools of the Jharsuguda district through the Mo School Abhiyaan, an initiative by the Government of Odisha under its School & Mass Education Department. The company has contributed a sum of Rs 80 lakhs to the revamping of government high schools including P.S. High School, Kolabira, C.D.B. Nodal High School, Parmanpur, B.D. High School, Baghmara and G.P. Nodal High School, Samasingha located in the Kolabira Block. Stated high schools will be proffered with Rs 20 lakhs each to build infrastructure to the level of having features like a smart classroom, e-library, ICT Lab, playing ground and garden. Additionally, as per the Mo School Abhiyaan framework, the contribution made by Vedanta will be matched, twice over, by the CSR Pool of the State Mo School Abhiyan Parichalana Sangathan that will speed up the development of infrastructure at the schools.
