Vedanta ESL Steel wins Greentech Effective Safety Culture Award

Bokaro, Sep 2: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group Company and a key national steel player, has won the coveted Greentech Effective Safety Culture Award 2021 in the Metals and Mining Industry category for the second consecutive year for continuous improvements in building a safety culture at the shop floors. The acknowledgment comes after ESL’s effective use of technology, digitalization, and innovations, coupled with the leadership of its senior management that effectively mitigates critical risks at the site. Currently, in its 20th year, the award distribution were held in Sonmarg, J&K and graced by imminent people including Former Chief Minister, J&K, Farooq Abdulla, along with the CEOs, Managing Directors and representatives from the top Indian Public & Private Sector companies from various sectors such as Construction, Pharmaceutical, Metal & Mining, Power & Energy, Banking, etc. Established in the year 1999, Greentech Foundation is India’s leading non-profit organization committed to recognizing and celebrating the best practices in the areas of safety, environmental management, CSR, and HR, among the vibrant corporate world. N.L.
