Unnati Bhawan in Odisha certified with gold rating by IGBC

Bhubaneswar, April 28: Unnati Bhawan at Satya Nagar in Bhubaneswar has been certified with gold rating by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under IGBC Green Existing Building Rating System. Officials said that it is the first government building to get this rating from IGBC.This building with built up area of 93250 square feet has housed various organizations under the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD)Department such as OWSSB,WATCO,JAGA Mission, OUHM . The building has been designed as a smart building with contemporary look and modern facilities and has adopted several unique green building features in its design and operation. {"align":"center","id":110380,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} Salient features of the building include highly energy efficient with EPI (Energy Performance Index), roof top solar power plant with 110KW installed capacity, DEWATT (Root Zone) waste water treatment system to reuse the treated water in landscaping, 100% rain water harvesting system through underground recharge pit, preservation of existing trees through sensitive site planning and solid waste management system through appropriate collection, storage and disposal facilities.
