Two tested positive for dengue in Sambalpur

Sambalpur, Aug 2: The sudden outbreak of dengue has triggered panic in Sambalpur district after two tested positive for the vector-borne disease on Monday, medical authorities said. They were admitted to the medicine ward of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science. Of the two patients identified, one was from Maharashtra while the other was from Deogarh district. However, the patient from Deogarh district has recovered, while the patient from Maharashtra is still in critical condition. Both patients were found to be positive after Ellisa test. Earlier, four dengue patients from different districts of western Odisha were admitted to the hospital. Four of them had tested positive while it was conducted through kit. Authorities later conducted Elisa test and two patients have now been diagnosed with dengue positive.
