Two drinks which can boost your immunity during the flu season. These can be curated with the ingredients stuffed in your kitchen shelves. These are Oranges, Cucumber, Lemons, Ginger and they have a common presence in the Indian pantry. These are a storehouse of Vitamin A, K, C, magnesium, calcium, copper, and potassium. Adding a slice of ginger and lime makes a wholesome drink. A good immunity sees us through any epidemic or any seasonal contagion. No doubt a healthy diet helps us with a good immunity system, but there are certain foods which can boost our immunity. Best part – these are all available in our kitchen pantry and fridge. Example Oranges – brims with vitamin C, full of antioxidants, ascorbic acids and beta carotene present in the fruit play a major role in fighting free radicals. Cucumber – provides electrolytes along with minerals and vitamins. Orange Booster: Blend together the oranges with some carrots, dates, ginger pinch of turmeric and cinnamon. To have a crunch have chia seeds or basil seeds (landa baguli). This juice mix can heal within and ease pain & discomfort: which one goes through seasonal contagion. In other words it is a perfect mix to withstand and resist infections. Cucumber Booster: This is another mix with lime, ginger and Himalayan salt. To get a high of vitamins A, K, C, magnesium, calcium, copper, potassium blend it with kale (karam saga) and spinach (poi) with a dash of lime and ginger. Bet this juice will surprise you.
