Two cops suspended for duping businessman in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, April 29: Two police personnel have been placed under suspension after they were arrested in connection with a fraud case on Wednesday. The Airport police on Wednesday arrested eight persons including three cops on the charges of cheating a Keonjhar based businessman. Police has also seized Rs 99.5 lakh cash from their possession. Havildar Dilip Kumar Mallick and constable Sandipta Kumar Prusty have been placed under suspension, informed Bhubaneswar DCP, Uma Shankar Dash. He also said that an additional DCP has been assigned to investigate the matter further. The accused had tried to cheat the businessman Rs 1 crore by luring him to invest in a foreign company, which promises hefty returns.
