Balianta, Sep 28: Hundreds of Tribal people on Tuesday gheraoed the Balianta police station demanding release of four persons, who were arrested recently in connection with a group clash that had erupted at Sarakana village.
The tribals gheraoed the police station and staged a sit-in in front of it. They demanded that the four must be released unconditionally.
Meanwhile, some local leaders have alleged that the tribal people are creating disturbance in police action. They also alleged that tribal leaders are making issues of silly incident to gain their political benefits.
Notably, a clash had erupted over the release of drain water into a pond in Talasahi. Later, the police had arrested for persons belonging to the tribal community.
