TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd rewards customers under ‘Bill Pay & Win’ scheme

Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Odisha Government, has rewarded nine customers from Bhubaneswar Circle 1 under ‘Bill Pay & Win’ drive carried out during September to December. A total of 45 customers will be awarded across circles in the company’s area of operation. TPCODL launched this scheme for customers as a step to boost digital bill payments. All the customers who paid their electricity bills between first and last date of the month through any online medium were eligible for this scheme and had chance to win exciting prizes including LED TV, Smart phone and OTG. Nine customers were selected from the list of qualified ones by a lucky draw as winners. While Chandan Sourav Sarangi from Circle 1 won LED TV as the first prize for the month of September, Sushma Mishra and Ramesh Patel won it for the month of December. All the winners were rewarded today in presence of their family members in an event held at the TPCODL Corporate office. The company will give awards to 45 such customers across circles in its area of operation. For all customers who pay on time through digital mode, TPCODL is offering 2% discount on the bill amount. To further ensure that consumers can leverage cashback on digital payments, the company has enabled various popular platforms including Amazon Pay and PhonePe for payment of bills. M. Shenbagam, Chief Executive Officer, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited said, "We believe in implementing new channels and modern technology for customer convenience. This initiative is a step towards convenience of our customers. Online payment of bills through digital mode allows our customers to pay from the comfort of their home at their convenience. We urge more people to adopt the digital payment avenues and avail the benefits associated with these facilities.”
