Kentucky, Dec 11: At least 50 people are suspected to be dead in a devastating twister storm that wrecked havoc in several areas of Kentucky, and other states of the United States late Friday and early Saturday. According to reports, the tornado swept through the state for more than 200 miles and has left 60,000 Kentuckians without electricity. Meanwhile, several causalities have been reported from the city of Mayfield after the roof of a candle factory in the city collapsed amid the twister storm. At the same time, in the state of Illinois, Edwardsville Fire Department has informed that a 100 foot wall of an Amazon facility has collapsed, resulting in multiple injuries and at least one death. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency and has activated 181 guardsmen from the National Guards. “We believe our death toll from this event will exceed 50 Kentuckians and probably end up closer to 70 or 100 lost lives,” Beshear said while describing the tornado “devastating.” "We will make it through this, we will rebuild, we are strong, resilient people," added the Governor.
