Thrashing of minor in Bhubaneswar: OSCPCR seeks action taken report

Bhubaneswar, July 4: Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has asked DCP to furnish action taken report in connection with thrashing of minor by police personnel in Bhubaneswar. The DCP has been asked to submit the report within seven days. Earlier a constable was A cop suspended after he thrashed and kicked a minor boy who was selling tea and milk at his father’s shop in Kesura area here. The incident, which was captured on CCTV camera, took place on June 29. The PCR van personnel working with the Badagada police station was caught in camera kicking the tea seller for allegedly opening shop in violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
