There is no UPA: Mamata Banerjee after meeting Sharad Pawar

Mumbai, Dec 1: There is no United Progressive Alliance (UPA) now, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday after her meeting with Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar in Mumbai. "What is UPA? There is no UPA," the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief said after a meeting with Pawar. She made the statement during her three-day visit to the capital city of Maharashtra when she is meeting leaders of the NCP and Shiv Sena. Pawar too tweeted a photograph of the meeting with Banerjee at his residence here. “Pleased to meet Hon'ble CM of West Bengal Smt @MamataOfficial at my Mumbai residence. We Discussed various issues. We agreed upon the need to strengthen the collective efforts and commitment towards safeguarding democratic values and ensuring the betterment of our people,” the NCP leader tweeted.
