Suspected Covid-19 patient commits suicide in MKCG Hospital

Berhampur, May 17: A youth, who was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur after he developed respiratory problem, was found hanging from window of the hospital's washroom late last night. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Muni (38) of Akalpur village under Bargarh police limits. Sources said, he was admitted to MKCG on May 13 after the oxygen level fell down to 35. There was no improvement in his health condition for the last three days. Rajendra was unable to walk properly due to weakness following which he lost patience and took the extreme step. According to reports, he went to washroom at around 2:30 pm and didn't come back till 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, his brother-in-law went to check but the door was closed from inside following which he called security guard and broke open the door. Rajendra was found hanging dead. He had hanged himself from the window of the washroom. Being informed, the police reached the spot and recovered the body. The officials sent the body for post-mortem and started investigation into the matter.
