State Schools Open Chess Championship concludes

Bhubaneswar, Jan 14: The State Schools Open Chess Championship was concluded at Royal Public School at Kesura in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. 

Sai Ranjan Mishra of DAV Public School, Jajpur Town became champion, and Aditya Prasad Subudhi of Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT, Bhubaneswar came up with the runners-up in the championship.  

Apart from them, at least eight students were given trophies for their mindstorming contribution on the board. Almost hundreds of students from across the state had participated in this state-level event. 

The Championship was inaugurated by Dr. Subrat Dash, Managing Trustee of  Dr. R N Dash Foundation.

Debasis Panigrahi, Director, Orissa State Chess Association conducted the tournament.

The championship was Jointly organized by the Orissa State Chess Association & Dr. R N Dash Foundation.
