Cuttack, Sep 2: Over 30 teachers were caught copying in the Special Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test, OTET 2022 that was held on August 29. Special OTET 2022 was conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha in order to allow in-service teachers to also appear for the Teachers Eligibility Test. Over 30 teachers were caught copying in the Special OTET on August 29 at different centers across the state, said BSE. We will recommend the school and mass education department for disciplinary action against the teachers who were involved in malpractices, said a senior official of the BSE. The teachers who were caught during malpractice will not be allowed to appear the OTET further, the Board has clarified. Notably, the school and mass education department had made it mandatory for the Gana Sikshaks and the teachers working without Certificate Training to pass the OTET.
