Bhubaneswar, June 4: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has planned a special vaccination drive on June 8 and 9 to administer the second dose of Covid vaccine to the beneficiaries of age group between 18-44. Elaborate arrangements have been made by BMC to ensure the success of the special drive. The mobilization center, which was shut due to lack of vaccines, will once again be operational. Persons who have already taken the first dose on May 3 to 5 will be given a second dose, BMC Additional Commissioner Laxmikant Sethi informed. He has urged the people, who have to get the second dose of vaccine, to go to their same vaccination centres where they had taken the first dose earlier without fail and take Covid jabs. Beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group, who have already completed their 28-day minimum lock-in period are now able to book slots through CoWin for the second dose. The vaccination drive will be conducted as per the availability of the vaccine. Similarly, journalists will be given a second dose of vaccine through a special drive at Unit-6 Girls' High School, BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh said.
