Six places in Odisha record temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above

Bhubaneswar, May 30: As many as six places in Odisha recorded temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above on Sunday. Titlagarh was the hottest at 42 degree Celsius. The other five places which recorded temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above were Bhawanipatna (41.5), Balangir (41.2), Sonepur (40.6), Malkangiri (41) and Boudh (40). Bhubaneswar recorded maximum temperature of 36.6 degree Celsius. The regional met office has also forecast thunderstorm with lightning at few places in the State till June 2. Met officials also said that the Monsoon is likely to reach Odisha in the second week of June.
