Chandigarh, Oct 17: A day after interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi reprimanded the party leaders for speaking to the media to voice their opinions, Punjab unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi on governance issue and shared a copy of the same on Twitter. In the letter, Sidhu listed priority areas for the Punjab government to deliver, terming it as the last damage-control exercise. He also sought time from Gandhi to present a “Punjab Model” with a 13-point agenda, which can be part of the manifesto for the 2022 assembly polls. The points highlighted by Sidhu include justice in sacrilege cases, drug menace, agricultural issues, affordable power, cancellation of the faulty power purchase agreement, welfare of scheduled caste and backward class, employment and cable mafia. He also asked Gandhi that the party direct the state government to act on those lines as a "last damage control measure".
